Testimony Continued :

From the time I was saved till I was stationed at Groton CT, I was in an evangelical denomination . I went to that denomination's church.  Something wasn't quite right, however. This church was actually worshiping and praising God it was not what I was used to; there was so much joy. To tell the truth I was scared so I left and didn't go back for quite a while. Finally I went back and I realized that I liked it there, and decided to give it one more try and I am glad that I did.

In 1989 I had been having trouble with my shoulder which I had injured in Boot Camp.  I had surgery, this was supposed to be a simple out patient surgery.  But there was a problem.  Everything went well till it was time to wake up, then the problems started.  I had been placed on a ventilator to breath for me while I was under anesthesia.  When it came time to remove the tube I had a pulmonary edema.  They had to put the tube in again so they had to use more anesthesia.  This stopped my heart and my breathing.  The doctors restarted my heart and all was well.  While this was going on I had a strange experience.  After I woke up I was coughing up blood and was put in Intensive care, while there I asked the Doc what had happened to me.  He stated that nothing had and then I asked if it is possible to have a dream while on anesthesia?   He said no and I told him this,  I remember I was in a dark room I could not see but I remember that I knew there were people around me.  I tried to scream but the sound came out and stopped.  I was scared and then I woke up.  Years later I read other peoples experiences with dieing and going to Hell and they said the same experience.  Well I tell you this had quite a effect on my life.  I started to go back to church and started to get serious with God.

Then in 1990, I transferred to Charleston, SC. While there I found an awesome church, Northwood's Assembly. While there I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, then just as quickly a brother came to me and told me that this was not for today and it was from the Devil, and unfortunately I believed him, and I stopped believing in and operating the Gifts of the Spirit, for a season.

It took about one year of doubting, then I had a hunger for more of God and to see for myself, I again had the same experience and I realized that the experience was real and was from God, It was awesome! I stayed there for 4 years till I transferred in 1994 to Kings Bay, Georgia.

While I was in Kings Bay, I was the Youth Minister and Singles Minister at the First Assembly of God, under Pastor Smith. I also played guitar on the praise and worship team, God was preparing me for what was to come.

On the night of March 9, 1997, my 33rd birthday, an evangelist came and prayed over me and I was prophesied over, He shared a word from God for me  "Do you remember when I called you to preach? How the enemy came to you and told you that you do not have what it takes, that was a lie and I am preparing you for a ministry, you will have visions and dream dreams. You will go to the nations, you will preach my word with great boldness. There will be healing with your ministry, I said Preach my word!" Well I tell you my jaw hit the floor! I knew this was from God because I had NEVER told any one that this had happened in college.  All of this word from the Lord was fulfilled within one year.  From this and other words and dreams that the Lord has showed me, I know that I have an Apostles call to build ministries, ministers and churches, to evangelize and to seek the lost, and spread revival.  And  the Lord  also showed me that I was named for my calling..., to Plant!
