Pastor Jackson PlantGreetings in the name of Jesus Christ,

Hello, I am Rev. Jackson Plant.  I am  the founder of For This Time Ministries and I want to welcome you to my ministries site on the web.

First some information on your host.   I grew up in Jasper, Georgia,  I am a 20 year veteran of the US Navy, having recently retired from active duty.

I want to tell you about my favorite subject, Jesus Christ, and what HE did in my life!

I gave my life to Jesus way back in August of 1984 while I was a student at West Georgia College, in Carrollton Georgia.  While I was there I was the Vice President of my frat, Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, and an Athletic Trainer on the Football, Track and Cross Country teams.   One night I was hanging out and one of the football players came and asked me if I knew Jesus.  That got me thinking,  I was happy and not looking for God, but He was looking for me!

Before I accepted the Lord I had attended church for a couple of years and I thought that I was saved because of that.  It was not until I went back home to a revival in 1984 that I found out what being "born again" really means.  The Evangelist told me that Jesus was knocking on the door of my heart and wanting to come and sup and live in me, a light came on and that caused me to understand what that really means and I accepted. I went forward and invited Jesus in my heart, I was so happy. It was just after this that I felt that I was called to the ministry but the enemy deceived me to believe that I was not called for that but to be a Deacon or possibly a Sunday school teacher.  I was naive so I believed it, more on this later.  I left college in 1985 when I felt burned out and I was only going to school to party.  I worked for a couple of years and was really falling away from the Lord then Jesus stepped in and changed my life. My father had quadruple bypass surgery in 1988 and I realized that I needed to get out and make a living and God opened the door.

I joined the Navy in 1988.  After boot camp in Chicago I transferred to Submarine School in Groton Ct.  While there I was having a difficult time, I was drinking a pitcher of beer a night and was unhappy.  My roommate there was a Christian and he invited me back to church.  It would change my life.
